Want to learn how to use your smartphone or tablet more effectively? Join us for a single 90 minute training on smartphone basics. Students are encouraged to bring their own devices (iPhones, Android phones, and tablets are all welcome!)

Yes, you must register ahead of time using one of the pages above.

Do I need To bring my own computer?

Each individual library will provide a number of Chromebooks for use during the Advanced Beginner Chromebook classes. For the smartphone/tablet classes, please bring your own device.

Are These Classes Free?

Yes, the classes are all 100% free! The Hawaii State Public Library System is partnering with the State of Hawaii’s Department of Labor and Industrial Relations, Workforce Development Division to provide these courses. Funding was provided by a U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration grant.

Who Is Teaching These Classes?

The class instructors will be members of the Mapunawai Inc team, a registered 501c(3) non-profit in the state of Hawaii. We have taught thousands of students, and encourage anyone wanting to learn to join us!
