Location: Hawai‘i State Public Libraries (statewide)
Pay: Starting At $20/hr | Part-Time and Full-Time positions available
Do you love helping people learn? Māpunawai Inc. is hiring Community Digital Navigators to support patrons in all 51 of Hawai‘i’s public libraries.
This is not just tech support — Digital Navigators are mentors and guides who help community members build confidence using technology for everyday life.
What You’ll Do
• Help people with their basic computer needs, such as how to use email, fill out online forms, and access telehealth and job applications
• Show patrons how to use features of their smartphones, tablets, and laptops
• Use the Northstar Digital Literacy program to guide learners step by step
• Troubleshoot a wide range of basic hardware and software issues across all operating systems and devices
• Create a welcoming, encouraging space for learners of all ages
• Facilitate digital literacy workshops
What We’re Looking For
• Friendly, patient, and compassionate communicators
• People comfortable with everyday digital skills (email, browsers, online forms, devices) with a broad knowledge of tech issues + problem solving abilities
• Experience teaching, tutoring, or mentoring is a plus
• Bilingual skills are welcome
